Summer is here!

Last look at the Spring before the beauty is gone..Virginia is for Lovers, the quote for a state with lovely sceneries, it has four seasons clearly with the mother's nature changings. Residing near metropolitan area Washington DC the nation has most the best of everything in the world that even makes you like it better if you have enough time and money to explore them...from the museums, theaters, opera concerts, diversity restaurants....

We are not ready to leave the cold, the foggy mornings of springtime left over yet or at least myself, my feelings of the lovely, happiness time still locked in me, I just can't let go that easily, I feel content and that's such a beautiful feeling.

Trees started their young leaves those have light, fresh greenish color, all come back to life after a long sleep in the winter; The trees, plants those you thought would be never be revised with all skinny, dried branches now they are blooming so cheerful and wonderful, is it that "time will heal everything" as life goes?
Azalea, Dogwood, Bleeding Hearts, all summer flowers blossom around the house that gave me a warming feeling every day when I looked at them.

Cherry Blossom with Chums

We were lucky this year with a beautiful Sunday Cherry Blossom in downtown Washington DC, it was not too cold nor too windy. As usual, I and my chums from 6th grade up to college, we had blast time in every gathering. Kim Yen came from Main, Thanh Nha and her hubby from Houston for Linh's daughter's wedding on the night before. Five of us took metro because no way we can find a parking space in DC at this time. . Virginia is about five to ten minutes from DC and we're rarely taking the metro but driving our cars. I started to enjoy taking the rides recently more often =... . Trains were increased with more rides but seemed still not enough for all people came from in and out of states for this special week.

Prior that time we went to Eastern Market for breakfast, coffee; Thanh Nha brought with her from Houston an article about the place and asked me to take her there for shopping. Off we went and I recognized the warehouse that is temporarily used when the main building is renovating. We bought French breads, tasting the cheese, Italian veggies, snacks, danishes , coffee, we're munching when walking around to see flowers, shopping purses..I got some dried lavender flower and some votive candles those have such beautiful smells..
Kim Yen left early to meet her other friends and went back to Main; the night before Kim Yen and I talked until 3AM about everything including lobster "saga" from her place. It's not a fancy thing to have lobster everyday in Main, my friend used it on every occasion and I can illused the animals with their two big claws swing circle in front of me after we talked.

I love being with my friends, they are sweet and fun to be with every time we get together!I am looking forward for more gathering as we were in Paris, Germany, Amsterdam, Rome, Florence, Pisa, Houston, California....

A Foggy Morning...

It's crispy air, foggy early morning, I felt so good and can't resist to save a picture-the beauty of mother nature's mood today. It reminded me of the early years in Dalat city walking up the hills to school, where almost year round with foggy, crispy cold air. At dawn,I and my cousins walk to downtown -or Uptown because most are uphills- just to have a hot bowl of Che Trung Ga (sweet desert with chicken eggs), or sometime just by myself walking by Ho Xuan Huong (Xuan Huong Lake)for fresh air, quiet time....with the misty fog!

Another Trip Home

It's exciting to prepare going back home for another visit. It was a great trip to Vietnam in 2004 and I guess this time the country would have many great changes beyond my imagination. My favorite cousins and I talk almost everyday to plan for all the fun activities, where we are going to eat, what city to visit..from Ho Chi Minh city to Ha Noi..I can't wait!
